Position Overview:
This role is responsible for establishing and leading a Power BI capability, serving as the primary resource for designing and delivering data visualization solutions that support business decision-making. The position requires a senior-level developer who can work independently to translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions while also guiding best practices and mentoring team members.

Duties:

Design, document, develop, test, implement, and support Power BI solutions
Deliver high-quality dashboards and reports, including leading testing validation and implementation activities
Advise leadership on Power BI initiatives, project milestones, and resolution of technical challenges
Collaborate closely with business units to understand processes and gather reporting requirements
Translate business needs into effective data models, analytics, and visualization solutions
Provide coaching and guidance to staff on Power BI best practices, standards, and efficient development approaches
Act as a subject matter expert and internal resource for Power BI tools and capabilities
Identify and recommend improvements to Power BI development processes and methodologies
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end users
Independently manage development efforts, demonstrating strong decision-making and initiative

Required Skills:

5+ years of experience developing Power BI solutions
5+ years of strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
5+ years of experience working with SQL and relational databases
Proven ability to lead, plan, develop, and implement Power BI projects
Ability to provide technical support to end users
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact professionally and effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong decision-making skills
